About Us

D4 is more than just a bar; it's your Irish local in the heart of the capital. Owned and operated by Irishman Dermot Murphy, the name 'D4' pays homage to our roots in Ringsend, Dublin 4.

In 2003, Dermot brought his Irish hospitality to Wellington, managing The Black Harp. Encouraged by loyal patrons, he embarked on his own venture. Since opening our doors in 2007, D4 has been a hub for community and craic in Wellington.

As one of the few independently owned and operated venues in the city, we take pride in pouring pints and creating memorable experiences for our patrons. Providing top-quality customer service is our main focus and aims to emulate the experience of a traditional Irish local.
