Irish by name and Irish by nature, Irish Times in New Zealand brings irish foods and drinks on a 20,000km journey from the Emerald Isle to your table. We don't do shamrocks, harps or dancing leprechauns - just a taste of Ireland down under.

Neil Miller

A master of electronic multi-media, this man can boast MC Hammer as one of his followers on twitter. seems to have a strong aversion to water unless accompanied with a bucket of hops

nzbeerblog

NZ Beer Blog is an enthusiastic, subjective, opinionated and independent celebration of New Zealand beer and brewing.

It’s run by me, Martin Craig, a freelance business researcher and journalist based in Wellington, New Zealand. After work I enjoying conducting further research into the brewing business, research I’ve been conducting at my own expense for many years now. I’ve been a beer judge for the first three SOBA home brew competitions, and for Consumer magazine. I’ve also experimented with home brewing, and advised on beer lists.

SOBA

We are serious about beer, but this doesn't mean we have to be dull about it. If we were being dull, just for a minute, we would define ourselves by saying that we are an independent, non-profit society whose main aim is promoting a wider availability of better quality beer. Our slogan is "Beer for all the right reasons". We firmly believe that there is far more to beer than a vector for alcohol to enter your system. Some of us would prefer it if making great non-alcoholic beer was possible, just so we could drink more of it. We are advocates of finely crafted, flavourful beers. We like beers which have character and individuality. We want the kind of recognition for our beverage of choice that wine currently enjoys, but we don't want to be snooty about it - we just want better product, and more of it available in more places. We do not ask for much!

Tuatara Brewing

Whether talking about his early days home brewing, the set up Carl and Simone Vasta have now at Tuatara, or the possible need for further expansion, it’s clear that they’re dedicated to continuing to supply the best quality beer to New Zealanders who’re thirsty for it.

Whatever the next step, whether they limit growth and remain a boutique microbrewery or expand further, they’re adamant the beer will remain the same. You can’t doubt their integrity, to Carl and Simone, it wouldn’t be worth doing if they had to compromise on quality.

Wellington GAA

We are Wellington and Hutt Valley GAA club.

Our mission is to become New Zealand's leading Irish cultural and sporting body and we are well on the way to achieving this goal.  When kiwis and ex-pats think of sporting success, cultural enjoyment and a 'can-do' attitude to life, they think of Wellington and Hutt Valley GAA club.
We will achieve this goal through playing with, working with and having fun with our core family of players, administrators, sponsors and supporters.
